Habitat:
About 8 acres of good-quality southern sedge meadow lies on the west side of a trout stream that flows along the northeast boundary of the property. This wetland has little reed canary grass, and is dominated by tussock sedge, fox sedge, hairy-fruited sedge, Joe Pye weed, jewelweed, and Canada goldenrod. turtlehead, giant St. John's wort, and the rare shrubby St. John's wort.

Less than 10 scattered plants of Hypericum prolificum are growing in the sedge meadow. (This property is a nature/hunting retreat; landowner lives elsewhere; contact info can be provided upon request.)
