Habitat: Large sedge meadow with many shrubby Salix, Spiraea alba, surrounded by secondary forest with Populus tremuloides, Abies balsamea.
Occurrence Remarks: Shrubs with many slender stems, to 2.2 m tall, to 1.6 cm in diameter, forming a loose clump or colony. Voucher for wood specimen, MADw. Pistillate.
