Habitat: Weedy lowland pasture (although not pastured this year) along creek.
Associated Species: Scattered trees of Ulmus americana, Acer negundo, Salix nigra, S. amygdaloides, with Rudbeckia hirta, R. laciniata, Phalaris arundinacea, Verbena hastata, V. urticifolia (and a hybrid of the two!), Cirsium arvense, C. vulgare, Helenium autumnale, Silphium perfoliatum.
Description: Tree 12m. tall, 50cm. dbh, single upright trunk. Leaves green beneath.
