Habitat:
Secondary forest of Populus tremuloides, Betula allegheniensis, B. papyifera, Acer rubrum, A. saccharum, Abies balsamea, Fraxinus nigra.
Notes:
Shrub with arching stems, to 1.3 cm in diameter, at edge of swamp. Voucher for wood specimen, MADw. Inflorescence nodding; flowers pale yellowish.
