Habitat:
Unshaded fenceline between cultivated fields of Zea mays and Glycine max. Flat, broad valley of river, but just above the floodplain, unshaded, with Corylus americana, Phalaris arundinacea, Cornus racemosa, Sambucus canadensis, Ambrosia trifida, Ilex verticillata and saplings of Acer saccharinum, Quercus macrocarpa and Prunus virginiana.
Notes:
Herbaceous vine 2 m long, climbing on wire fence. Flowers green, with a very faint musty odor (11:30 A.M., overcast and drizzling); anthers creamy.
