Habitat: N facing slope, shaded by Tilia americana, Juglans nigra, Corylus americana. With Poa compressa, ?P. pratensis.
Notes: Originally collected by R.R. Kowal, 1970 Jun 22. Primary Sampling Unit (PSU) 5, "Population" 5, individual 8, grown in Test Garden 2, position I31. Voucher for chromosome count: 2n = 22 II, 7 cells counted; meiosis irregular in numerous plates, with micronuclei after both 1st & 2nd divisions (1971 Apr 3 & 1972 Apr 1).
