United States, Wisconsin, Sauk, Baxter's Hollow; along brook just S of first bridge over Otter Creek (as one goes N). The plant collected was only ca 3 m E of the road and on the N side of the brook.

Habitat:
In moss. Two young plants, 1A & 1B, in one sod of moss collected on 1981 Mar 8 (with John Thomson) and gotten to flower in the greenhouse, Birge Hall, Dept. of Botany, Univ. of Wisconsin-Madison. Voucher for chromosome count of Individual 1A: 2n = 22 II, 31 cells counted (1981 Mar 26).
