Habitat: Growing in sunny, moist ditch. Plant associates include Thuja occidentalis, seedlings, Hieracium aurantiacum, and Rannunculus acris.
Notes: Very common herb to 1.5 ft tall. Close to a thousand or more plants seen in flower. Corollas bright yellow. Inflated cayces yellowish-green. Leaves opposite and dark green with serrate leaf margins. This is the first time I had seen this plant in Door County. Color slides taken in 1991 and digital photos taken later.
