Habitat:
Dryish fen (not as wet as expected, artificially dried down but good habitat for many spp.); water's edge, dug pond, with Asclepias incarnata, Carex hystericina, C. pellita, C. tetanica, Cirsium muticum, Glyceria striata, Lysimachia quadriflora, Salix bebbiana, and Sparganium eurycarpum (rare).
Notes:
Forming low tussocks. Locally frequent. S shore of 3rd in a series of ponds excavated long ago to attract wildlife for hunting purposes.
