In spring-fed rivulet feeding creek; assoc.: Nasturtium officinale (locally frequent). Along upper, semi-open edge of bottomland hardwood forest; adjacent plants on rivulet bank: Angelica atropurpurea, Boehmeria cylindrica, Caltha palustris (frequent), Cardamine bulbosa, Impatiens capensis, Phalaris arundinacea (very common), Symplocarpus foetidus (locally common), and Viola sororia.
