Habitat: Formerly grazed (up to ca. 50--60 yrs. ago) wetland along tiny, straightened, W-flowing, spring-fed streamlet, supporting semi-natural, calcareous wet prairie; rich dense vegetation, sedge dominated but hardly tussocky and full of herbs. Assoc.: Aster dumosus var. strictior, Cirsium muticum rosettes, Euthamia graminifolia (abundant), Helianthus grosseserratus (very common), Liatris pycnostachya (common), Muhlenbergia mexicana, Pentaphylloides floribunda (abundant), Pycnanthemum virginianum, Solidago gigantea, and S. riddellii.
