Formerly grazed (up to ca. 50--60 yrs. ago) wetland along tiny, straightened, W-flowing, spring-fed streamlet, supporting semi-natural, calcareous wet prairie; rich dense vegetation, sedge dominated but hardly tussocky and full of herbs. Assoc.: Bromus ciliatus, Carex interior, Galium boreale (frequent), Juncus torreyi (common), J. nodosus, Lysimachia quadriflora, Muhlenbergia glomerata, Parnassia glauca (rare), Pentaphylloides floribunda (occasional), Pycnanthemum virginianum (frequent), Schoenoplectus acutus (abundant), Symphyotrichum lanceolatum, & S. firmum. var. atrata.
