Habitat: Overgrown Quercus macrocarpa-Q. velutina savanna at base of glacially formed sand hill. In fair amount of shade in savanna with Antennaria parlinii ssp. fallax, Carex cephalophora, Fragaria virginiana, Lonicera morrowii, Poa compressa, Prunus serotina seedlings, and Quercus velutina saplings; and in semishade at edge of savanna, leaning out over fire lane, with all of above assoc. plus Rubus idaeus var. strigosus.
