Habitat: Limestone escarpment comprised of a narrow, low shelf next to the broad flats of silty sand and cobblestones along modern shoreline. Sparsely-vegetated cobblestone flats. Reed canary grass (Phalaris arundinacea) present. Agrostis scabra, Lobelia kalmii, Lycopus americanus, Juncus nodosus, Baltic rush (Juncus arcticus var. balticus), Aster spp., Agalinis purpurea, Juncus brevicaudatus, Juncus alpinoarticulatus, Aster lanceolatus.
