Habitat: In rocky, seepy, N-facing draw, in fairly deep shade. Mature northern hardwood forest. Understory includes sparse Acer saccharum, Betula alleghaniensis, and Ostrya virginiana. Herbaceous associates include Dryopteris intermedia, Erythronium americanum, Impatiens capensis, and Taraxacum officinale.
