Calcareous sedge meadow & seep. Found in damp soil where the wetland meets the upland oak forest. Growing in mostly shade. Associates include: Aster lateriflorus, Cornus stolonifera, Cirsium muticum, Salix sp., Scirpus atrovirens, Solidago graminifolia, Gentiana andrewsii, Onoclea sensibilis, Pedicularis lanceolata, Carex vulpinoidea, Spiranthes cernua.
