Habitat: Weeds in a poor quality buckwheat field, most collected from mowed circles around and paths between duck blinds; field mowed in Aug., the bent over and cut-off grasses now re-emerging, some forming new heads under water or a little above water surface; field now entirely flooded 25 cm deep to attract ducks.
