Habitat:
Along verge of cornfield, in dry sandy soil. Common. Annual, with erect culms. Leaf sheathes keeled. Panicle cylindric, dense, a yellow to yellow-green color. Golden bristles approx. 0.5 cm long. Each spikelet possesses several (4+) bristles.
