With Linaria, Conyza, Centaurea, Rumex, Saponaria, Asclepias spp., Erigeron, Solidago, Aster spp., Oenothera, Artemisia, Vitis, Berteroa, Taxicodendron, Asparagus, Lychnis, Rubus, Thalictrum, Eupatorium, Verbascum, Hypericum, Stachys, Coronilla, Convolvulus, Parthenocissus, Andropogon, Panicum and other grasses. Succeeding mesic prairie. Disturbed sandy soil. Little shade. N facing slope.
