Habitat: Excellent bluff prairie along highway. Prairie on lower bluff slopes, with few weeds, some rare plants, such as Psoralea esculenta, Artemisia frigida, A. dracunculoides, Muhlenbergia cuspidata, Eupatorium altissimum. With Hansen, et al. 4016. Additional species noted in association: Excellent, large calcareous bluff prairie below massive limestone cliffs. With Artemisia frigida, A. ludoviciana, A. dracunculoides, A. caudata, Solidago nemoralis, S. rigida, S. speciosa, Equisetum hyemale, Gnaphalium obtusifolium, Euphorbia corollata, Andropogon scoparius, A. gerardii, Liatris aspera, L. cylindracea, Linum sulcatum, Eupatorium altissimum, Eragrostis spectabilis, Helianthus rigidus, Muhlenbergia cuspidata, Asclepias verticillata, Bouteloua curtipendula, Petalostemum purpureum, Psoralea esculenta, Aster azureus, A. sericeus, A. ericoides, A. oblongifolius, Amorpha canescens, Sorghastrum nutans, Kuhnia eupatorioides.
