Habitat: Damp grassy lowland (old field) along east edge of Fraxinus pennsylvanica-F. nigra woodland. Associates: Agrostis gigantea, Bromus ciliatus, Carex sect. Ovales, C. vulpinoidea, Fraxinus pennsylvanica seedlings, Juncus dudleyi, Phalaris arundinacea-dominant, Platanthera leucophaea, Sphenopholis intermedia, and Solidago gigantea.
Notes: Occasional. Collected plant a clump with 4 stems.
