Habitat: Sandy road shoulder gravel, intermingled with Sporobolus vaginiflorus var. inaequalis (common) and S. asper (rare). Additional associates for Cochrane & Cochrane 5890, 5891 and 5892: Panicum dichotomiflorum, Digitaria sanguinalis, Amaranthus blitoides (A. graecizans L. sensu Fern.), Euphorbia maculata (E. supina; Chamaesyce m.), Ambrosia artemisiifolia, and Setaria viridis.
