Habitat:
Thuja occidentalis woods (Thuja in all size classes, with Betula papyrifera & Tilia americana) developed on low cliffs and steep W-facing slopes of escarpment face. Narrow, slightly swampy, linear depression, mimicking intermittent stream, paralleling bottom of cliffs right where terrain starts to flatten out. Assoc.: Carex radiata, Erigeron philadelphicus, Fragaria virginiana, Glyceria striata, Impatiens capensis, Lycopus americanus, Solanum dulcamara, and Symphyotrichum lateriflorum.
