Habitat: Growing on a peaty tussock along the edge of a stream, in full sun and saturated peat/soil. Associates include Leersia oryzoides, Scutellaria galericulata, Eupatorium perfoliatum, Lycopus americanus, Juncus nodosus, Agrostis alba, Cicuta bulbifera, Epilobium sp., Thalictrum dasycarpum, Carex stricta.
