Habitat:
Strip of southern mesic forest, red ash (Fraxinus pennsylvanica var. pennsylvanica) the only dominant, hardly any individuals of other tree spp. present except for very edge of upland site. Southern wet-mesic forest (Fraxinus nigra and Ulmus americana both very rare), with Carex projecta, Cinna arundinacea (common), Glyceria striata, Muhlenbergia sylvatica, Boehmeria cylindrica, Pilea pumila, Parthenocissus inserta, Circaea lutetiana ssp. canadensis, Epilobium coloratum, Sium suave, Cuscuta cuspidata, Aster lat. Carex granularis (11424), Elymus virginicus (11426) & Muhlenbergia schreberi (11425) very local in one spot at S end of habitat, associated with Cinna arundinacea, Leersia virginica, Arisaema triphyllum, Iris virginica var. shrevei, Boehmeria cylindrica, Rhamnus cathartica (seedlings), Cicuta maculata, Sium suave, Lycopus uniflorus, and Aster lateriflorus.
