Habitat: Rooted in shallow water along edge of river. Mucky substrate composed of fine sand and organic silt. Full sun. With summer drought, the river is very low. With scattered Elodea canadensis, Potamogeton nodosus, and Vallisneria americana.

Notes: Scattered plants.
