Habitat: Very narrow, eroded, E-W valley between steep sandstone cliffs. Very degraded oak-hickory savanna. Early history of light grazing until 1960's when heavily grazed. Now a mass of invasive plants: Alliaria petiolata, Glechoma hederacea, Rosa multiflora, etc., and dead elms. This plant collected at the very bottom of the valley in an area kept partly open by regular mowing. Semi-shade, moist.
