Habitat: Grassy sandy slope on low ridge supporting Quercus velutina-Q. alba-Juniperus virginiana savanna. Open very disturbed. Associated species for Cochrane 10085-10089 consist of a mixture of some prairie plants and many weeds: Agropyron trachycaulum, Bouteloua hirsuta, Eragrostis spectabilis, Bertoroa incana, Potentilla argentea, Robinia pseudoacacia seedlings, Lespedeza capitata, Aster azureus, Lactuca canadensis, Physalis sp.
