Mature rich, well drained beech-sugar maple woods on top and NE slope of morainal hill (with few scattered Tsuga, Ostrya, Prunus serotina), very rich herb layer (Dicentra cucullaria, D. canadensis, Dentaria laciniata, D. diphylla, Trillium grandiflorum, Asarum canadensis, Caulophyllum, Erythronium americanum (very common), Mitella.
