Habitat: Sphagnum bog dominated by Chamaedaphne calyculata in the interior of the bog. Other interior associates include Rhus vernix. Transition zone of vegetation consists of Polygonum sagittatum, Carex oligosperma, Potentilla palustris, Galium tinctorium, Scirpus cyperinus, Dulichium arundinaceum.
