Habitat:
Black spruce swamp with about 80% cover; in sphagnum with Carex pauciflora, C. disperma, C. leptalea, C. trisperma, C. paupercula, Menyanthes, Ledum, Vaccinium oxycoccos, and little else. Numerous springs and several spring runs orginate at the base of the uplands to the south. Black spruce swamp/bog covers much of the site, with large areas of bog birch/Myrica closer to the creek and spring runs. Tamarack and alder are also common, and there is at least one small area of cedar in the NE4. About 2 fruiting culms. [Mixed with collection of Carex tenuiflora, Fields 3518, and from which this specimen separated out.]
