Habitat: Narrow roadside Carex stricta sedge meadow through extensive Alnus rugosa-Salix spp. swamp (the latter very wet, flat & open, with Carices on Sphagnum; why no Larix or Picea?). Assoc. for Cochrane & Cochrane 7301-7311, 6664: Sphagnum (rare & local), Larix laricina seedlings, Equisetum fluviatile, Dryopteris cristata, Onoclea sensibilis, Thelypteris palustris, Typha latifolia, Bromus ciliatus, Calamagrostis canadensis, Poa palustris, Carex lacustris, C. paupercula (rare), C. scoparia, Scirpus cyperinus, Juncus effusus, Salix pedicellaris, S. serrissima, S. petiolaris, Betula sp., Ribes sp., Rumex sp., Fragaria virginiana, Potentilla palustris, Spirea alba, Impatiens capensis, Epilobium leptophyllum, Ledum groenlandicum (rare & local), Lysimachia thrysiflora, Galium trifidum, Campanula aparinoides (common), Achillea millefolium, Aster puniceus, A. simplex, Eupatorium maculatum, Solidago gigantea, S. uliginosa.
