A shallow alkaline seepage lake with a somewhat unique plant association that includes Atlantic Coastal Plain species. Habitat information for Cochrane et al. 12491-12495: More or less dry sand in upper edge of transition zone between lake shore and thin oak woods. Assoc.: Poa compressa, Carex umbellata (C. rugosperma), Juncus greenei, Polygonum tenue, Polygonella articulata, Hudsonia tomentosa, Helianthemum canadense, Solidago graminifolia, dried terrestrial mosses, and Aster dumosus var. strictior.
