Habitat: Northern mesic forest (Acer saccharum dominant, with A. spicatum, Tilia americana, Ostrya virginiana, Ulmus americana) along hiking trail. Habitat information for Cochrane & Cochrane 11563-11566: Wet spot (seepy opening) in rich deciduous forest; Carex gynandra var. gynandra dominant, with C. projecta, C. scabrata, Glyceria striata, Impatiens biflora, Scutellaria lateriflora, Viola sp., little else.
