Habitat: Rich low deciduous woods (Acer saccharum-Tilia americana ass'n, with Quercus alba (large old trees), Fraxinus americana, Ulmus rubra, Ostrya virginiana, Carpinus caroliniana) on first terrace of river. Hab. A): Grown-over lane. Assoc. species for Cochrane et al. 10074: Carex sprengelii, C. projecta, C. convoluta, C. laxiculmis, Ranculus septentrionalis, Geum canadense, Scutellaria ovata, Solidago gigantea.
