Habitat: Formerly pastured (unused this season) sedge meadow on seepage spot in open bottomland hardwoods, the latter mostly in silt-loam soil. Assoc.: Poa palustris, Equisetum hyemale, Monarda fistulosa, A. prenanthoides, Aster lucidulus, Solidago canadensis. Rooted in Mnium in sandy loam soil.
