Habitat: Marshy shoreline in very shallow water. Very diverse aquatic community (ca. 56 vasc. pl. spp. seen) in SE corner of lake; intermingled emergent (Pontederia cordata, Dulichium arundinaceum), floating (Ceratophyllum demersum, Utricularia geminiscapa, U. vulgaris, Lemnaceae) of floating-leaved (Nuphar variegata, Nymphaea odorata, Brasenia schreberi, Potamogeton natans), and submerged basal rosette (Najas flexilis, Sagittaria cuneata) or flexuous-stemmed (Heteranthera dubia, Vallisneria americana, Scirpus subterminalis) aquatics giving way in deeper water to six entirely submersed Potamogeton spp. (P. friesii, P. strictifolius, P. pusillus, P. amplif.). With Pontederia cordata, Dulichium arundinaceum, Sagittaria latifolia, S. cuneata, Equisetum fluviatile, all sparse in nos.
