Habitat: Wet hollow in woods. Southern bottomland forest on river floodplain, Acer saccharinum dominant, with Celtis occidentalis, Betula nigra, Fraxinus pennslyvanica var. subintegerrima. Habitat information for Cochrane et al. 11839-11842: Grass-and sedge-filled wet hollow (slough; dry dry at this season), with Carex crinita var. crinita, C. typhina, C. lupina, Lysimachia ciliata, and L. nummularia.
