Habitat:
Woods on a N-slope on silt loam soil. B.) Ostrya virginiana and Ulmus species woods associated with beech-sugar maple woods. The understory is much the same (with Tilia, Ulmus, Ostrya, carpinus, and Quercus sp.) except grasses and sedges are present here. & C.) Muck hole within woods consisting of Carlisle muck and having around its edge Salix and Ulmus species. Typical plants within are sedges, grasses, and Utrica species.
