Habitat: Northern mesic forest (Acer saccharum dominant, with A. spicatum, Tilia americana, Ostrya virginia, Ulmus americana) along hiking trail. Habitat information for Cochrane & Cochrane 11563-11566: Wet spot (seepage opening) in rich deciduous forest; Carex gyndra var. gyndra dominant, with C. projecta, C. scabrata, Glyceria striata, Impatiens biflora, Scutellaria lateriflora, Viola sp., little else.. Lower W slope of dome, near jct. with trail.
