Habitat:
Dominating parts of the small grassy marsh along water's edge on small island. Bottomland hardwood forest (very immature, the dominant tree the naturalized Catalpa speciosa), dried sloughs, and grassy marshes at the river's edge, the whole area now pastureland. Assoc.: Urtica dioica ssp. gracilis, Geum aleppicum or laciniatum, Impatiens capensis, Glechoma hederacea, Helenium autumnale, little else. Forming open beds up to 60 ft. long, 20.ft. wide.
