Habitat: W-facing slope on rough broken land. In transition zone between rich white oak woods with basswood & ironwood and hemlock stand with yellow birch. Tilia americana, Ranunculus abortivus, Polygonatum pubescens, Thalictrum dioicum, Mitella diphylla, Impatiens sp., Parthenocissus inserta, Osmorhiza claytonii, and Galium aparine.
