Many young saplings coming up in partially-cut woods of Acer saccharum. Next to dense thicket of Staphylea trifoliata. Occasional Ulmus thomasii upslope. Steep N-facing slope with dry creek at bottom. Found in 1 sq-m plot with Osmorhiza longistylis, Polymnia canadensis, Hydrophyllum appendiculatum, Anemone acutiloba, Laportea canadensis, Ribes missouriense, Impatiens pallida.
