Habitat:
Old lowland field grown up to young Ulmus (rubra?)-Juglans cinerea (trees all dead or dying) woodland; assoc.: Circaea lutetiana ssp. canadensis, Cryptotaenia candensis, Geum canadense, Laportea canadensis, Teucrium canadense, and Scrophularia lanceolata. Semi-open moist ground, transition zone between mesic forest on slope at base of sandstone cliff and large seepage spot with Symplocarpus foetidus in the heart of the draw.
