Very steep W-facing rocky roadside with many native prairie plants including Campanula rotundifolia, Rudbeckia hirta, Apocynum sp., Euphorbia corollata, Rosa sp., Pycnathemum sp., Galium boreale, Veronicastrum virginicum, Verbena stricta, Cirsium discolor, Sanguinaria canadensis, Heliopsis helianthoides, etc. This site was mowed the next morning when we went to take photographs. I spoke to the highway crew about waiting until after flowers set seed to mow and they said they would talk to the town board. [Closest to var. helianthoides, int. ad var. scabra-TSC]
