Habitat: Open sloughside wet marsh dominated by Carex and Scirpus pedicellatus, with Azolla mexicana, Glyceria grandis, Typha latifolia, Sparganium eurycarpum, Eleocharis obtusa, Sagittaria, Sium suave, Penthorum sedoides, Epilobium glandulosum, Ludwigia polycarpa, Galium tinctorum, Lysimachia thyrsiflora, Polygonum coccineum, Scutellaria galericulata. In puddles 2in deep between Carex hummocks in intermediate zone between outer (drier) Phalaris and inner (wetter) Typha zones.
