Habitat: River bottom hardwood forest (Acer saccharinum dominant, with Fraxinus pensylvanica), more or less open edge along slough, with Laportea canadensis (sparse), Onoclea sensibilis, Apios americana, Lysimachia ciliata, Galium obtusum, Amorpha fruticosa, Cephalanthus occidentalis, Platanthera flava.
