Habitat: In variable prairie habitat in RR right-of-way. Varying from wet (Spiraea alba) to damp (tall Silphium perfoliatum and Andropogon gerardi) to dry (Andropogon scoparius and Petalostemum candidum). Soil mostly sandy. In full sun. Growing with Silphium.. 1-2m tall tall, yellow ray flowers and disc flowers.
