Habitat: 25-acre southern mesic hardwood forest on relatively flat, generally low ground with kettle depressions and low areas holding water part of the year, but still on undulating morainal topography. This tract contains especially large trees: Quercus rubra (30-42 in. d.b.h.), Q. alba (22-26 in. d.b.h.), Acer saccharum (20-27 in. d.b.h.), & Prunus serotina (16-20 in. d.b.h.). Moist rich site (assoc. 7954-7963): Arabis laevigata, C. radiata, Galium triflorum, Impatiens biflora, Parthenocissus vitacea, Ranunculus abortivus, Sanicula gregaria, Trillium grandiflorum, Triosteum aurantiacum var. aurantiacum, etc.
