Habitat: Wet mucky meadow-like opening in large white cedar swamp, sedges dominant (Carex stipata, Scirpus microcarpus, Eleocharis erythropoda), grasses subdominant (Gylyceria grandis, G. striata); traversed by snowmobile trail, from along which all collections came. Assoc.: Selaginella ecliptes, Equisetum arvense, Impatiens, Bidens, Polygonum amphibium, Aster puniceus, Carex bebbii, C. interior, C. flava var. flava, C. retrorsa, C. vulpinoidea, and Scirpus validus.
